JA Solar supplies modules for 560 MW power plant in Egypt

Chinese solar company JA Solar Holdings Co, Ltd. is supplying »DeepBlue 3.0 Pro« solar modules for the »Kom Ombo Abydos« solar power plant in Egypt, construction of which began in early January and is expected to be completed »within 19 months,«. According to the company, the delivery is part of a partnership between AMEA Power, a project developer based in the United Arab Emirates, and a consortium of Chinese companies that includes JA Solar, China Energy Engineering Group, China Energy International Group, and Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction. The consortium is to provide »an integrated solution for gigawatt-scale wind and photovoltaic energy projects.«
