The German projects already have the necessary building permits and grid connection contracts. Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2025, with grid connection expected by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
Econergy estimates the investment at around €73 million. In the first five years of operation, the company expects to generate annual revenues of 13.7 million euros and EBITDA of 11.9 million euros.
According to Econergy, Germany is one of the »largest and most advanced energy markets in Europe«. However, with an installed capacity of two gigawatts, the battery storage sector is still in its infancy. »After monitoring the market and its developments over an extended period, Econergy has identified the conditions as ripe for market entry, based on strong projected demand for storage and favorable expected returns. The Company intends to further deepen its presence in Germany and is actively evaluating additional storage opportunities«.
