Iran plans 50 megawatts on the border with Armenia

Iran is planning to build two hydropower plants and a 50 megawatt solar power plant in the border region with Armenia. This is the result of consultations with the joint Iran-Armenian Trade Commission several weeks ago, according to a report by the Irna news agency. The news agency refers to a recent interview with Ali Reza Daemi, head of the Iranian delegation to the Commission.
The joint plans also include strengthening transmission capacity. According to Irna, a 400 kilowatt line is to supplement the two existing 230 kilowatt lines.
