German Intilion GmbH is launching a new commercial storage system for indoor use called »Scalestac«. The system is designed for public utilities, municipalities, industrial companies and farmers and can be expanded in 25 kVA steps up to 400 kVA. Depending on the requirements, the capacity is between 123 kilowatt hours and one megawatt hour.
In terms of dimensions, the power storage unit fits through any standard door and can be easily installed even in low rooms, says the company. Installers would only have to connect the prefabricated cabinets to the busbars. Energy management systems from other manufacturers can also be integrated via the open Modbus/TCP interfaces. Intilion uses lithium iron phosphate for the battery cells.
According to the company, it aims to be »the market leader for stationary energy storage in the DACH region within the next three years.« The storage system can be ordered now. Delivery will start in the fourth quarter.
Intilion GmbH is a subsidiary of Accumulatorenwerke Hoppecke Carl Zoellner & Sohn GmbH. The company was founded in 2019 and develops and produces, among other things, lithium-ion energy storage systems and offers traction energy storage systems for industrial and high-voltage systems for trains and other heavy-duty applications.
