India’s total installed solar capacity is exceeding 34 GW by end of Q2 2019

India’s total installed solar capacity grew to 34,154 MW by end of Q2 2019. Total capacity in pipeline has reached 19,698 MW, according to the latest edition of »India Solar Compass« report published by consultancy Bridge to India. Utility scale solar capacity addition has been slowing down for the last year. Q2 also remained slow with only 1,104 MW of capacity addition against the estimated 1,536 MW. »Tender issuance stayed robust« with a total utility scale capacity of 10,296 MW issued in Q2 2019. However, many recent tenders have been cancelled and/ or undersubscribed, says the report.
