Indian energy company NTPC Ltd. is inviting bids from project developers for photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 900 megawatts in Cuba. As part of an International Solar Alliance (ISA) program in cooperation with the Cuban Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), NTPC says it is the government's »preferred partner« in implementing the project. Planned installations include 175 sites in all 15 provinces of the country.
NTPC will assist the Ministry of Energy and Union Electrica de Cuba (UNE) in the selection process, signing of project agreements, and monitoring of project implementation until commissioning. The Request for Qualification (RFQ) process will run from March to May 2022.
