Ikea closed PV offering in UK

Sweden-based home furnishings retailer Ikea ended up offering solar panels in its stores in the UK. According to a statement at the website of British solar developer Solarcentury, the company has received a large volume of solar enquiries in anticipation of the closure of the Feed-in Tariff on March 31, 2019. »This has resulted in all of our installation slots being booked. Post March, the closure of the Feed-in Tariff and the uncertainty as to when and how this will be replaced means we are putting our solar offer under review.« Ikea partnered with Solarcentury since 2016. As reported, in August 2017, the company has teamed up with Solarcentury to launch a new solar battery storage solution, using lithium-ion batteries from LG Chem.
