Holaluz signs an agreement with Chint Energy to install 500 MW PV projects in Spain

Spanish renewable energy marketing company Holaluz, part of Spanish Clidom Energy S.L, has signed an agreement with Chint Energy to install 500 MW PV projects. The two companies will jointly study the market possibilities for the acquisition of the projects. Holaluz will acquire the power output for between 5 and 15 years. Investment is about €350 million ($392 million), according to Carlota Pi, co-founder and CEO of Holaluz, and Luz Ma Chen, CEO of Chint Energy. Holaluz has proposed to reach power purchase agreements (PPA) of 1,000 MW by the end of 2021.
Since November 2018, Holaluz has signed two PPAs. The first with Raiola Future, for the construction of 10 PV plants with a total power of 20 MW, and second with EDF, an agreement for the installation of 120 MW. The plants will be located in Spain and Portugal, investment will be close to €80 million ($89 million), says the company. Chint Group is currently developing new solar projects in Castilla y León, Aragón and Extremadura.
