Chinese thin-film producer Hanergy Thin Film Power Group introduced its BIPV product »HanWall« at launch events in seven locations (Beijing, São Paulo, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Dubai and Hong Kong).
»HanWall« is a 140 W thin-module based on copper-indium-gallium-selenid (CIGS) with standard dimensions of 1,192 * 792 * 15 mm. It is available four different colours and also in various sizes. Hanergy provides a 10-year warranty on 85 percent power output for 25 years. According to the company, more than 700 patent applications have been filed for the product, which is designed to cover facades of large buildings such as skyscrapers. The BIPV modules can resist a grade-12 typhoon and temperatures from -40 to +85 degree Celsius.
During the global launch, Hanergy also introduced a »100 New Eco Landmarks« initiative under which the company will cooperate with USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) to »jointly promote the concept of eco-buildings«.
