Germany's EEG levy surplus increased to €5.7 billion in February

The German EEG levy account, which funds Germany’s renewable energy programs, had a cumulative surplus of €5.69 billion ($6.39 billion) at the end of February. This is an increase of around €612 million compared to January.
In February alone, revenue generated by the levy totaled €2.26 billion. Payments for operators of renewable-energy-power plants and other expenditure totaled about €1.65 billion.
