Germany's EEG levy surplus decreased to €2.19 billion in September

The German EEG levy account, which funds Germany’s renewable energy programs, had a cumulative surplus of €2.19 billion ($2.41 billion) at the end of September. This is a decline of around €737 million compared to August.
In September alone, revenue generated by the levy totaled €2.02 billion. Payments for operators of renewable-energy-power plants and other expenditure totaled about €2.76 billion.
