Germany's EEG levy surplus decreased by €0.74 billion in June

The German EEG levy account, which funds Germany’s renewable energy programs, had a cumulative surplus of €4.65 billion ($5.45 billion) at the end of June. This is a decrease of €0.74 billion compared to May.
In June alone, revenue generated by the levy totaled €2.17 billion. Payments for operators of renewable-energy-power plants and other expenditure totaled about €2.92 billion.
