German EEG levy account reaches a plus of €4.7 billion

The EEG levy account managed by the four German transmission system operators had a accumulated surplus of €4.73 billion ($5.59 billion) at the end of August. Revenues amounted to €2.13 billion. The expenses totaling €1.92 billion charged to the levy account were predominantly (€1.92 billion) attributable to remuneration payments to plant operators. The monthly balance for August is €210 million.
