German EEG levy account reaches a plus of €2.44 billion

The EEG levy account managed by the four German transmission system operators had a accumulated surplus of €2.44 billion ($2,90 billion) at the end of March. Revenues amounted to €2.16 billion. The expenses totaling €1.79 billion charged to the levy account in March were predominantly (€1.77 billion) attributable to remuneration payments to plant operators. The monthly balance for March is €371 million.
