German EEG levy account reaches a plus of €14.6 billion

Movement on the EEG levy account: Account balance (in billions of Euros) compared with the previous year's level

The EEG levy account managed by the four German transmission system operators had a accumulated surplus of €14.6 billion ($15.8 billion) at the end of March. Revenues amounted to €2.07 billion. The expenses totaling €1.06 billion charged to the levy account were predominantly (€0.99 billion) attributable to remuneration payments to plant operators. The monthly balance for August is more than €1 billion.
