Further slowdown in PV expansion in Germany

The capacity of all newly installed PV systems registered by the German Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) in May amounts to 228.8 MW. This is the lowest figure so far this year. The monthly installed capacity, which was above average at the beginning of the year due to deadlines for changes in the subsidy scheme, has fallen continuously (January: 551 MW; February: 373 MW; March: 345 MW; April: 294 MW). At the end of May, a cumulated 47.72 GW of solar power capacity had been installed in Germany.
