Fronius plans to increase production capacity by 65 percent

Austria’s Fronius International GmbH plans to further massively increase the production capacity of its »Solar Energy« business unit for solar inverters and other PV components. According to the company, this year it has invested € 187 million (USD 198.5 million) in its production site in Sattledt, Austria and in the »Competence Center for Inductive Components« in Krumau, Czech Republic; next year, investments are to rise to € 230 million (USD 244.1).
The company’s production figures are already »higher than ever«, with 32,000 inverters produced per month in the current year. By the end of 2023, this is expected to increase by 65 percent to 52,000 units per month. »Despite difficult circumstances such as unstable supply chains and shortage of components and staff,« a statement reads, Fronius has been able to secure supplies and stabilize production.
