Fluke acquires Solmetric

Fluke Corp, part of the U.S.-based machinery and instrumentation company Fortive Corporation, is acquiring Solmetric Corporation, a provider of solar measurement and analysis equipment founded in 2005, also based in the United States. Solmetric is known in the industry for its »SunEye« shading analysis tool and the »PV Analyzer« I-V curve tracer. All of the company’s employees are expected to retain their jobs after the acquisition. Fluke did not provide further details.
Fluke itself is known in the solar industry, as well as in the electrical and installation trades in general, primarily for its multimeters and infrared cameras.
