Post date: 19/10/2023 - 11:28
Today, Thursday (October 19), the German Bundestag will discuss in first reading the next package of amendments to the country’s Renewable Energy Law (EEG) and other energy-related regulations. The overarching goal of the legislative initiative is to »increase the expansion of photovoltaic energy generation,« which is why the bill is called »Solar Package I.« The draft legislation was published by the lead Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) at the end of June.
Among other things, it provides for improved subsidy conditions for »special solar installations.« i.e. Agri-PV, floating PV, solar on moorland and parking lots, as well as simplifications for tenant electricity projects and for plug-in solar devices. Other measures include simplifications for grid connection, repowering of plants and direct marketing.
