European Energy wins Danish auction to build photovoltaic plants with a capacity of 90 MW

The Danish wind and solar project company European Energy AS was awarded to build two solar projects in Denmark: Rødby Fjord at Lolland with a capacity of 60 MW and Næssundsvej at Mors with 30 MW. Both projects will receive a subsidy of DKK 2,84 ($0.43) per MWh. According to the company, in this auction project developers offered a total of 540 MW, including 165 MW wind and 104 MW photovoltaic. The auction »was significantly oversubscribed.« Details were not disclosed.
