European Energy announces largest solar farm in the Baltics

In the Lithuanian municipality of Anyksciai, Danish renewable energy project developer European Energy A/S plans to connect what it claims will be the largest solar power plant in the Baltics (Estonia. Latvia, Lithuania) to the grid in the fourth quarter of this year. The plant with a capacity of 65 megawatts and single-axis tracking, is to cover 120 hectares, so it will be designed with comparatively large distances between the module rows. Yield is projected at 90 gigawatt-hours annually, or about 1,385 kilowatt-hours per kilowatt of installed capacity. European Energy did not provide any information on the investment sum.
