EU institute and Indian training provider form »strategic partnership« to combat skills shortage

EIT InnoEnergy, a division of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) supported by the European Union, will »strategically partner« with Indian education provider NIIT for its »InnoEnergy Skills Institute« training initiative launched in April. The InnoEnergy Skills Institute aims to provide education and training for energy transition industries worldwide, and in doing so, »reach more than 800,000 workers by 2025.«
The initiative originated as a further development of the academy of the European Battery Alliance Academy (EBA) and is now to be expanded to include content from the areas of green hydrogen and photovoltaics. The strategic partner NIIT, with its international presence, is to provide technical and organizational services, but also »training of teaching staff, and ensuring local training nuances are catered for.«
