Esco to build 70 MW »Wyalong Solar Farm« in NSW

Australian utility scale solar project developer Esco Pacific Pty Ltd.. has announced the achievement of the final development milestone for its »Wyalong Solar Farm«, following acceptance of an Offer to Connect from the local grid operator Essential Energy. The 70 MW solar farm will be located at West Wyalong in New South Wales. The project received planning approval in early 2019 and will create over 200 jobs in NSW. Commissioning is due to commence in mid-2020.
The facility will bring the company’s total Australian developments generating or under construction to 566 MW. Most recently, Esco Pacific developed and managed the financing and construction of the 175 MW »Finley« solar farm, which has contracted 66 percent of its output to BlueScope Steel under a long-term power purchase agreement. According to the company, Esco Pacific is currently the asset manager for 353 MW of Australian utility scale solar projects, and has a further pipeline of projects under development totalling in excess of 1 GW.
