Eon to build 100 MW »West of the Pecos« solar project

Germany’s utility Eon SE has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for 50 MW from its »West of the Pecos« solar project with the SK E&S LNG, LLC, a subsidiary of South Korean energy company SK E&S Co., Ltd. »West of the Pecos« is a 100 MW (AC) photovoltaic plant, located in Reeves County, Texas, approximately 75 miles southwest of Midland-Odessa. The facility is expected to come online in 2020 and will consist of more than 350,000 photovoltaic panels.
According to the company, Eon has developed, built, and operates more than 3,600 MW of solar and wind renewable generation as well as battery energy storage across the U.S..
