Enphase achieves record sales

U.S. microinverter and storage systems manufacturer Enphase Energy Inc. posted record revenue of $530.2 million in the second quarter of this year – up 68 percent from $316.1 million in the same quarter last year and up 20 percent from $441.3 million in the first quarter. Net income of $77 million was 95 percent higher than the same period last year and 49 percent higher than the first quarter. The company’s stock rose about 25 percent the day after the results were announced.
Enphase shipped about 3.35 million microinverters with 1.2 gigawatts of total capacity in the second quarter, up 18 percent from the first quarter. The total capacity of Enphase battery storage systems, which are compatible with many inverters from other manufacturers and distributed in the U.S., Germany and Belgium, was 132.4 megawatt-hours, ten percent more than in the previous quarter.
