Cologne-based Einhundert Energie GmbH is taking over the nationwide tenant electricity portfolio of Solarimo GmbH, a subsidiary of Engie Deutschland. Solarimo was previously an established provider of tenant electricity solutions for the housing industry with its SolarMe electricity brand. As part of the transaction, 300 photovoltaic systems with an installed capacity of 10.3 megawatts will be put into operation by the end of the year. The systems will supply more than 10,000 tenants across Germany with locally generated solar power and enable annual savings of around 4,000 tons of CO₂.
Engie Deutschland, the parent company of Solarimo, welcomes the switch to Einhundert Energie. “We are delighted to have found a partner in Einhundert that will continue the Solarimo tenant electricity business in a professional manner and ensure that tenants continue to enjoy a sustainable power supply at a high level in the future,” says Ataman Yildirim, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Engie Deutschland GmbH.
