Engie to acquire 30 percent stake in Chinese Unisun

French energy giant Engie SA signed an agreement for a 30 percent equity investment through capital increase in Chinese photovoltaic power plant investor and developer Unisun Group. According to the company, since 2014, Unisun has developed around 500 MW PV projects.
Engie aims to support Unisun in the field of photovoltaic business’ development, ownership, operation, as well as smart energy management in China. Unisun targets a development of around 4 GW PV projects cumulated capacity by 2020 in China. Financial details were not disclosed.
