Donated PV system installed at school in Ukraine

As part of the "Solar helps" campaign of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW Solar) in cooperation with companies from the German solar industry, a photovoltaic system with battery storage was put into operation on Thursday (Nov. 25) at School 17 in Irpin, a suburb of the Ukrainian capital Kiev. The system, with 20 kilowatts of power and 55.3 kilowatt hours of storage capacity, is the first project of the campaign.
Among others, the companies Hoppecke Batterien, SMA Solar Technology, BayWa r.e., IBC Solar and Hanwha Q Cells were involved in cooperation with the Ukrainian Solar Association and the foundation "Energy Act for Ukraine". The "Solar helps" campaign aims to support the reconstruction of the energy infrastructure destroyed by the Russian war of aggression with renewable energies.
