Almost finished: the 2.5 megawatt system on the parking lot of ZF Friedrichshafen AG

The automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG roofs its company parking lot in Schweinfurt, Germany, with a large photovoltaic system. The project with an output of 2.5 megawatts was developed in cooperation with the municipal energy supplier N-Ergie, which supplies ZF Friedrichshafen AG with electricity. The system is being installed by Münch Energie and is scheduled to go into operation in the fall of this year. The solar power is to be consumed on site and is sufficient to cover up to four percent of the annual energy requirements of the northern plant. The photovoltaic system will also create 80 charging points for electric cars. According to a company announcement, the investment volume amounts to 3.6 million euros.
