Chilean authorities approve 92 MW SunEdison PV project

Chilean environmental authority SEA has approved a 92 MW (AC) PV project proposal submitted by SunEdison subsidiary Inversiones y Servicios SunEdison Chile Ltda in July. The project, planned for the Tarapaca region of northern Chile, has a required investment of $241 million and will consist of nearly 300,000 MEMC 330 W solar modules. Construction of the project is scheduled to start this month, according to the application.
