Centrotherm confirm its preliminary business figures and closed 2018 with positive results

German production plant manufacturer Centrotherm International AG has confirmed its already published preliminary business figures for 2018. Accordingly, consolidated sales rose to €180 million ($201 million). The company’s forecast was €110 million to €150 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to €6.6 million (2017: €-6.0 million). The Executive Board had assumed a balanced Group EBITDA. After taxes, Centrotherm achieved a positive result of €2.0 million ($2.2 million).
Incoming orders in the semiconductor and microelectronics industry doubled year-on-year to around €45 million, according to the company: »Major investments in new production capacities for high-efficiency solar cells were temporarily slowed down in the past fiscal year due to the change in the photovoltaic subsidy policy in China in May 2018.« Despite the lower order volume from the photovoltaic industry, Centrotherm received orders totaling €88.2 million in fiscal year 2018. The order backlog as at 31 December 2018 amounted to €84.9 million.
The sales target for the 2019 financial year is between €90 million and €150 million. The Management Board expects a »balanced to positive« EBITDA.
