BSW-Solar calls for further simplification of the grid connection for solar parks

The German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar) is satisfied with the results of the latest and largest EEG tender for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems to date. At the beginning of March, 420 projects with a bid volume of 3.8 gigawatts applied for the auction volume of around 2.6 gigawatts. The average award value was 4.66 cents per kilowatt hour.

BSW-Solar is confident that demand will also be high in the upcoming photovoltaic tenders. BSW-Solar appealed to federal politicians to further simplify grid access in the first 100 days after taking office. The procedures for project developers are often too complicated, lengthy and non-transparent. This could lead to further cost reductions. A right to innovative joint grid connections for different power plant and storage technologies is also necessary.
