Blueleaf Energy and Sunasia to develop 1.25 GW solar projects in the Philippines

Singapore-based Blueleaf Energy Asia Pte Limited and Philippines-based solar project developer Sunasia Energy, Inc. have entered into a partnership to co-develop 1.25 GW of solar projects in Luzon, Philippines. The country is increasingly focused on renewable energy, and targets the delivery of an additional 10 GW of solar energy by 2030, which would comprise in excess of 20 percent of its energy mix.
Blueleaf, a portfolio company of Macquarie’s Green Investment Group, has developed, built and operated almost 2 GW of solar capacity across the globe over the past 20 years, including over 500 MW in the Asia Pacific region and 250 MW in the Philippines.
