Blue Elephant Energy and UKA to develop 500 MW solar portfolio in Germany

German solar and wind farm operator Blue Elephant Energy AG (BEE), through its subsidiary BEE Development GmbH, plans to build with German project developer and operator of renewable energy plants UKA solar parks with a capacity of 500 MW. Completion of the first solar parks is planned for early 2023.
According to the company, the portfolio includes eleven projects in advanced stages of development with sizes ranging from 20 to 130 MW. The locations are the German states of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
UKA will develop the projects, and after completion they will be transferred to BEE's plant portfolio. Remuneration is to be paid via long-term electricity supply contracts. The cooperation is still subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Office.
