Belectric commissions two 26 MW rooftop photovoltaic systems in India

German PV specialist Belectric Solar & Battery GmbH has commissioned two rooftop photovoltaic systems with a cumulative capacity of 26 MW in India. The projects were developed by Cleantech Solar, while Belectric was responsible for the construction and commissioning. The plant for Arvind Limited with an installed capacity of 16 MW was connected to the grid in December 2018. The plant at the Apollo Tyres site in Chennai has an installed capacity of around 10 MW and went into operation in May.
According to Jitendra Singh, CEO and Managing Director of Belectric Photovoltaic India Pvt. Ltd, the company is currently building a solar park with a total capacity of 250 MW in the Indian state of Karnataka. Until the end of 2019, Belectric targets to achieve an installed PV capacity in India of 1 GW.
