Belectric commissions 38 MW solar plant for Vattenfall hybrid power plant

German Belectric Solar & Battery GmbH has completed a solar plant for Vattenfall's first hybrid power plant in the Netherlands. The »Haringvliet Zuid Energy Park« consists of an onshore wind farm (22 MW), a battery storage facility (12 MW) and a 38 MW ground-mounted photovoltaic system. It is located on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in the province of South Holland, about 30 kilometers southwest of Rotterdam. Belectric will also take over the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar plant for an initial two years. By the end of 2021, »we will thus have installed more than 160 megawatts of solar capacity in the Netherlands,« says Belectric CEO Ingo Alphéus.
The company has installed nearly 4 GW of plant capacity to date and monitors more than 530 solar power plants worldwide with more than 2.7 gigawatts of installed capacity.
