Belectric commissions 250 MW solar power plant in India

Belectric subsidiary Photovoltaic India Pvt. Ltd has commissioned a 250 MW solar farm in Rajasthan, India. According to the company, this is »one of the largest photovoltaic plants« in the country. Belectric is also providing operation and maintenance services on behalf of the owner, Fortum Solar Plus Private Limited, part of the Finnish Fortum Group.
Around 40 percent of the plant is equipped with bifacial high-performance modules. An automatic waterless cleaning system has been installed to clean the modules. In addition, Belectric has built a substation (33/220 kV).
Belectric says it has built power plants with a capacity of nearly four gigawatts to date, and its Indian subsidiary has been involved in the construction of 1.2 gigawatts.
