Azure Power closed financing deals for 200 MW and 100 MW solar projects in India

Indian independent solar power producer Azure Power Global Ltd. closed a financing deal of INR 4 billion ($58 million) for its 100 MW solar power plant in the Indian state Karnataka. The project was won in an auction conducted by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. The solar plant will be set up at Pavagada Solar Park and is being developed by Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Limited (KSPCL). Azure Power’s portfolio in Karnataka stands at 250 MW.
Furthermore, the company announced the closing of a financing deal of INR 6 billion ($88 million) for its 200 MW solar power plant in Bhadla, Rajasthan. The solar plant will be set up at Bhadla Solar Park and is likely to be commissioned in 2019.
