Avaada Power to develop 500 MW solar capacities in Andhra Pradesh

Indian clean energy company Avaada Power Pvt. Ltd, has partnered with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop 500 MW utility-scale solar projects. The company plans to invest INR 3,500 crores ($538 million) in the state. The investment by Avaada Power is expected to generate more than 1,200 employment opportunities. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has set a target to achieve 18 GW renewable energy capacities by the year 2021/2022.
As reported, Avaada Power recently committed INR 10,000 crore ($1.55 billion) investment in Uttar Pradesh for developing 1,600 MW solar projects. The company has set a target of achieving 5 GW capacity in the next four years
