Argentinean government finances 20 MW PV project in northeastern province of Chaco

The state-owned energy provider of the Argentinean province of Chaco, Secheep, plans to develop a 20 MW PV power plant in cooperation with Argentina’s administrator of the wholesale electricity market Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico (Cammesa) and local company UCSA. According to the government of the province of Chaco, Argentina’s Federal Planning Ministry will provide $25 million in financing for the project. The PV plant will developed near the city of Quitilipi. The Chaco government does not say when the project is expected to come online.
