App for the corrosion assessment of PV substructures

The engineering firm Ache Engineering GmbH from Leun offers a quick online assessment to evaluate the corrosion risk of PV substructures. The application analyzes project data based on a previous soil analysis and calculates the extent to which the substructure of a photovoltaic system is likely to corrode, according to Ache. Interactions with adjacent infrastructure such as pipelines or corrosion protection systems on railroad lines are also taken into account. As a result, the app provides an assessment of whether corrosion protection measures are required.

According to Ache, the app is still in a test environment without a graphically appealing interface. However, interested parties can already obtain test access.
