Renewable energy plant developer and IPP Ampyr Solar Europe (ASE) has announced that the 45 MW photovoltaic cluster in Gorgast and Manschnow (Brandenburg) is now fully connected to the grid. The Gorgast-Bahn PV plant has a capacity of 15 MW, while the Manschnow and Gorgast-Gewächshaus plants together have a capacity of 30 MW.

Ampyr praises the Gorgast-Gewächshaus project as a »successful transformation of a previously unused brownfield site with a degraded landscape into a productive and sustainable solar power facility.« As part of the project, significant amounts were invested in demolition work, the removal of unexploded ordnance, and compensation and nature conservation measures.

»The Gorgast project underscores our continuing commitment to developing renewable assets in Germany, where ASE now has a PV and BESS pipeline of over 3 GW, part of an aggregate European pipeline of over 7 GW across Germany, the Netherlands and the UK,« said Tarun Agrawal, CEO of Ampyr Solar Europe. The company plans to commission further large-scale PV plants in Germany in the near future.
