Aleo Solar recorded €69.7 million net loss in 2013

German module manufacturer Aleo Solar AG, a subsidiary of the Bosch group, posted a 55.5% year-on-year decline in revenue in 2013, according to preliminary results. For the year, the company registered revenue of €124.5 million ($169.8 million), down from €279.9 million in 2012. The company said it expects to record a net loss of €69.7 million for 2013. The final results for 2013 will be published on Mar. 27, 2014.
In March 2013, Aleo Solar’s major shareholder, Bosch, announced it was exiting the PV sector. As a result, Bosch is looking to sell its 90.7% stake in Aleo Solar. Bosch has assured Aleo Solar that it will provide financing through March 2014. © PHOTON
