»AgriVoltaics 2020« will be held online

The conference »AgriVoltaics 2020«, originally planned in Perpignan, France, as the »1st world congress on agrovoltaic systems«, i.e. on the simultaneous use of land for PV and agriculture, will now be held online from October 14 to 16 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Registration is open, the participation fee is €170 ($200). Originally this first international conference on the topic was planned for August, then postponed to October and is now being reorganized into an online event.
The main topics are agrivoltaic systems, the management of agricultural production in combination with solar modules, and technical, social and economic aspects. Experts from all over the world will report on practical examples and research results on various aspects like solar and agricultural yield forecasts, legal and political frameworks or system technology. Initiators of the conference are the French agricultural and environmental research institute INRAé (Institut national de recherche pour l'agriculture, l'alimentation et l'environnement) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE.
