Advice centre for building-integrated photovoltaics in Berlin

Next spring, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin plans to open a »national consulting office for integrating photovoltaics into buildings«. The project will be funded by the Helmholtz Association for four years.
According to the HZB, there is »no independent service agency that prepares, evaluates, and classifies current information in order to offer independent consultancy to architects, planners, building owners, investors, and urban developers«. The new office will now devote itself to this task. The project partners include the German Federal Chamber of Architects, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the Reiner Lemoine Institute, the HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences as well as the Alliance for building-integrated photovoltaics (Alliance BIPV).The consulting office will be set up at the HZB Campus in Berlin-Adlershof and will also offer advanced training and workshops.
