Adani and Azure to build 50 MW PV projects in India

Indian project developers Adani and Azure Power Inc. won bids to set up PV projects in India of 50 MW each. The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auctioned the 100 MW grid-connected solar under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category at Ananthapuramu solar park, state of Andhra Pradesh. According to consultancy Mercom Capital Group, the projects are expected to be commissioned towards the end of the financial year 2017.
SECI will sign power purchase agreements with both of the solar developers at a fixed price of Rs.4.43/kWh ($0.065) for a 25-year period.
