Imperial County revokes permit for 50 MW solar park
Imperial Valley Press reports that US solar project developer 8minutenergy Renewables LLC has asked the Imperial Country Planning Department to rescind approval of its 50 MW Calipatria Solar Farm II project as part of a settlement agreement with environmental activists. 8minutenergy will now have to go back and do an environmental impact report, which could take up to a year to complete, according to the article. The project, located in Imperial Valley, California was due to begin producing power in 2012. …
