8/16/2012 - Asia16,071 subscribers Zhengrong Shi resigns as Suntech CEO but stays on as CSO Zhengrong Shi has resigned from his role as CEO of module manufacturer Suntech Power Co. Ltd. Shi, who founded Suntech in 2001, will continue to serve the company as executive chairman of the board and will take on the role of chief strategy officer. David King, who joined the company in May 2011 as chief financial officer (CFO), will replace Shi as CEO. “At this time, I believe it’s important to devote more of my time to guiding the strategic direction of the company, building relationships with key partners, and driving the ongoing development of Suntech’s leading solar technology,” explained Shi. Anlin Ting-Mason, CFO of Suntech America, will assume the role of interim CFO. …
