Onyx delivered PV glass to Turkish gas provider

Spanish BIPV technology developer Onyx Solar Group LLC has installed its photovoltaic glass at the new headquarter of Turkish natural gas provider Bursagaz. According to Onyx, the company integrated a double skin of photovoltaic glass in the form of a mosaic on the façade. The 315 amorphous silicon glass modules, measuring 500 mm x 700 mm, have a degree of transparency of 20 percent (L vision), enabling the uniform passage of light into the building and thus reducing the need for artificial lighting, as well as filtering out UV and IR radiation. The PV glass is expected to generate approximately 3,400 kWh per year, to be used for the building’s self-consumption.
